I'm a software engineer and a data scientist. I lead the Machine Learning Team at Flatiron Health.
Before Flatiron, I worked at Google on semantic parsing for search. And before that, I got a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Washington, where I researched algorithmic game theory, approximation algorithms, online algorithms, matching, and how to use machine learning to detect fabricated survey data.
Outside of work, I've been working on a side project called Cortado, a service that aggregates the sources of content that you care about and then sends them to you every morning by email.
I live in Brooklyn with my family. I like running and Oreo cookies.
